An opportunity that arose from our recent expansion into a warehouse on 5^th Street in West Oakland .  With funding support from California Endowment, MMPlace leveraged resources for a cold storage unit, cargo van and hire a produce buyer to purchase foods from marginalized farmers.  The foods can then be sold at wholesale prices to small stores, market booths and the community.
