Supported by funds from the Mayor’s Commission on in Aging, MMPlace operates weekly market booths and monthly cooking demonstrations at area Senior Centers, and delivers food to Northgate Terrace, a low income senior residential facility.  Seniors are able to purchase farm fresh produce and wholesome basic staples at affordable prices.  Oakland Food Connection conducts the cooking demonstrations.  MMPlace will expand the program to include area Senior Housing facilities in 2007.
